Responsible detecting

Know where you must not

The best detectorist is not the one who finds the most, but the one who knows where not to dig. DetectMap shows protected heritage areas before you put the spade in.

A notice for wherever you are standing, in 39 countries — offline

We say plainly where we do not cover the law yet

Verified legal guides: 3 countries. In 39 countries the app knows where you are and warns you. The protected zone map layer is Slovenia for now.

Terrain time machine

The terrain remembers

LiDAR relief in 8 countries today. In Slovenia the full time machine on top: aerial imagery from 1990 to today, cadastre and parcels on one map. Old tracks, demolished farmsteads, ploughed over meadows: everything that is no longer there.

Landowner permissions

Ask once. Dig with a clear head

Getting the owner's permission is the hardest part of this hobby, and it is hard because a blank sheet of paper is harder than the conversation. Tap a parcel, DetectMap writes the letter for you.
